Running to Ignore

I’ve got 99 problems but I’m going running🏃♀️to ignore them for an hour.🙌🏻😂
▫️
Checkout my 𝙩𝙤𝙥 𝙩𝙞𝙥𝙨 for a good run/walk:
▫️
1. Have a route in mind. A start + finish helps keep you consistent so you don’t sell yourself short with excuses to not go as far. I have a ‘regular’ route + a route for when I want to push myself.
▫️
2. Get your shoes right. Gotta have a supportive pair of shoes to prevent those aches + pains. Pictured: @brooksrunning▫️
3. Play those tunes! I have a specific type of music I listen to when I exercise that’s got a good beat and makes me wanna push. Spotify: Out of My Mind (explicit...I just like the beats)😳
▫️
4. Use the time to clear your head. Make a conscious decision to use the time to self reflect on things, forget things, decide things...pray....whatever it is you need, make it happen. It’s 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 time. Make it count. Your mental health is more important than most realize.
▫️
5. Finish strong. No matter what, I always finish with a sprint to the end. Usually about the last 400-200 meters. I purposely put on my fav song and go. Always👏finish👏strong.
▫️
6. I like my hands free so I have a phone pouch. You can get one of these anywhere. Mine was less than $10.
▫️
Keep in mind, if you’re starting from scratch, it’s gonna be hard. It takes a good couple weeks before you’re going to feel in control with a good run/walk. Same with any exercise program. Struggle is expected. Don’t take it as a sign you shouldn’t do it. Keep to your plan and you’ll see progress over time.💜
